Since the launch in August 2021, the docudrama INTO DUST has received praise and positive reviews and raised awareness about the global water crisis. On Wednesday, yet more accolades were bestowed on INTO DUST when it received the prestigious Lighthouse Award at a ceremony during the BlueTech Forum in Glasgow. “As a water solutions company, these topics are very close to our hearts. The Grundfos Foundation and Grundfos work every day to make a positive difference for people and the world with the ambition of reaching 300 million people with clean water in 2030. We believe that water is a basic human right as stated by the UN, and we promise to respect, protect, and advance the flow water,” said Ralph Exton at the award ceremony.

In 2020, The Brave Blue World Foundation launched the Lighthouse Awards to honour pioneers and visionaries within the water sector. Brave Blue World Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative focused on providing a platform for scientific educational storytelling and public engagement. The foundation was created with a view to inspire a shift in thinking and solving water challenges globally.
INTO DUST, directed by academy award winning director Orlando von Einsiedel, is an important story that aims to raise awareness about the pressing issue of water scarcity and the devastating impact it has on communities around the world. It tells the story of Perween Rahman, a woman who sacrificed everything to provide Karachi’s poorest communities with clean, safe water.
