“We have long had a school with high-quality teaching, but the physical framework has simply been too small and too run-down. It is therefore a great pleasure to finally be able to realize the dream of One Campus. In the future, we can offer 600 students an academically and socially rewarding life on a modern and high-functioning campus,” says Niclas Kvernrød, Chairperson at Aarhus International School.
A strong international programme is crucial to the region at large, as well as the companies looking to attract global professionals with families. The Grundfos Foundation and several other large employers in East Jutland realise this opportunity and thereby support a strengthened international school for those potential employees.
Construction works from 2022-2024
The Project One Campus will include demolishing older and dilapidated buildings, after which a new building will be established for the students aged 3-5 and there will be an extension to existing buildings for students aged 6-15. In total, there is new construction of 6000 m2. The construction is expected to start this month and last until August 2024.
