Yesterday morning, Danish Ambassador to India Freddy Svane received 92 oxygen concentrators in Delhi airport. The shipment was initiated by the Indian Danish Chamber of Commerce (IDCC) and supported by a number of Danish companies.

The Indian Danish Chamber of Commerce (IDCC) recently initiated a relief drive to help the people of India through the current COVID-19 wave. Ambassador of India to Denmark, H.E. Pooja Kapur helped IDCC identify oxygenators as the most useful contribution to relieve India’s health system which is on the brink of collapse.

India is facing a hard second wave of COVID-19 with some of the highest infection rates in the world. Consequently, the Indian Government has appealed to the world community for assistance in order to get through the crisis. Therefore, we are pleased to share information about the generous donation from Danish companies to the people of India.

IDCC member Kuehne+Nagel handled the freight pro-bono, all the way from Danish Island “Fyn” to Delhi.
