Jens Maaløe was first elected to the boards of directors of both the Foundation and Grundfos Holding in 2011. He was a board member of the Foundation for two periods from 2011-2017 and from 2018 to 2023. From 9 April 2019, he served as Chairman of the Foundation, but stepped down due to illness on 15 March 2023.

Jens was a very well-respected and competent chairman of the Foundation, where he spearheaded a more professionalized approach to the active ownership of the Grundfos Group as well as its philanthropic activities and investments.
Jens Maaløe was an accommodating listener who always offered a qualified opinion. He held the flag of integrity high, and with unique insights as well as an astonishing eye for society, technology and ethics he led the Foundation’s work to benefit society and Grundfos.
